Alexis Foucard is an attorney at Clifford Chance, where he co-leads the firm’s “Africa Litigation” practice. A member of the Paris and New York bars, he has served as counsel, sole arbitrator, or chair of the arbitral tribunal in more than 50 commercial and investment arbitrations, including those before the ICC and ICSID. He is particularly active in the construction, mining, and energy sectors—covering both traditional and renewable energy—as well as in the aerospace industry. He also regularly appears before French courts in pre-arbitration and/or transnational litigation.
