The Revue de l’arbitrage was founded by the French Arbitration Committee in 1955 and has been the leading French-language legal journal dedicated to arbitration ever since.
Originally, and until 1970, it was published as the “Newsletter of the French Arbitration Committee,” under the editorial direction of Maître Jean Robert.
This quarterly publication took on the form of a true scholarly journal in 1970, when Professor Philippe Fouchard assumed the role of Editor-in-Chief. It was he who gave it the characteristics it still possesses today and which have made it, across all countries, one of the leading journals in the field.
