The French Arbitration Committee is a scholarly society founded in 1953 with the aim of studying, developing, and advancing arbitration. Since 1955, it has published the *Revue de l’arbitrage* and brings together lawyers, judges, academics, legal professionals, and businesses that utilize arbitration.
The association was founded by a group of legal professionals; its first president was Professor Batiffol, who was succeeded by Maître Carabiber, President Prevet, Maître Jean Robert, Maître Bertrand Moreau, Maître Jean-Louis Delvolvé, Maître Yves Derains, Maître Philippe Leboulanger, Me Carole Malinvaud, Me Laurent Jaeger, Me Philippe Pinsolle, and Me Jérôme Ortscheidt.
