Given the scientific nature of the Revue de l’arbitrage, the journal publishes articles and commentaries only on the condition that it is granted exclusive rights to them in all languages. Submissions are either submitted voluntarily by their authors or commissioned by the Editorial Board. Manuscripts are systematically reviewed in consultation between the author and the Editorial Board. Since 2011, a Review Committee has assisted the Editorial Board in processing submitted manuscripts, and a Scientific Committee provides input on potential areas of coverage or new topics for consideration.

The topics addressed are examined from various angles. Indeed, arbitration law is considered critically, in the broadest sense of the term, both from the perspective of general theory and from the perspective of domestic, international, and comparative law. The Revue de l’arbitrage has always been committed to not separating theoretical and practical perspectives because, in this field more than in others, they cannot be dissociated. The authors, who are particularly numerous, are very diverse: French and foreign, practitioners or academics.
