Benjamin Siino is one of the founding partners of the law firm Gaillard Banifatemi Shelbaya Disputes. He was previously a partner in the International Arbitration Department at Shearman & Sterling, where he practiced for ten years.
Benjamin serves as counsel in ad hoc arbitrations and proceedings conducted under the UNCITRAL, ICC, and ICSID Rules of Arbitration. He specializes in disputes involving the energy sector, investment matters, and purely commercial disputes, as well as in arbitrations relating to Africa. He also serves as counsel in litigation before French and foreign courts, particularly in proceedings concerning the recognition or enforcement of arbitral awards and foreign judgments.
Benjamin is a lecturer at Paris-Saclay University, Panthéon-Sorbonne, and the Sciences Po Law School. He also teaches a course on the 1958 New York Convention at the International Academy of Arbitration Law (Arbitration Academy). Benjamin is co-chair of Paris Arbitration Week.
