Malik Laazouzi is a professor of private law and a faculty member at Paris Panthéon-Assas University. There, he teaches—in both French and English—French law on international arbitration, investment arbitration, various aspects of private international law (including the law governing international contracts under private or public law), and the arbitration laws of certain foreign countries (the United Arab Emirates, Mauritius). He founded and directs the Assas World Arbitration and Dispute Settlement LL.M. (LL.M. AWArDS) program at Paris Panthéon-Assas University. He is the author of numerous publications on arbitration (he co-edits the column on investment arbitration case law in the *Revue de l’arbitrage*) as well as on international contracts (*Droit des contrats internationaux*, Sirey, 2020, 2nd ed.). He regularly serves as a consultant in arbitrations involving contracts or investment protection treaties, as well as before French and foreign courts. He regularly serves as an arbitrator in domestic and international cases.
