Romain Dupeyré is a partner at the DWF law firm in Paris, which he joined in 2017 after practicing for 10 years at a French law firm specializing in business litigation. Romain focuses primarily on international commercial arbitration, particularly under the rules of the ICC, UNCITRAL, and the International Chamber of Arbitration in Paris. He acts as counsel or arbitrator primarily in disputes involving post-merger and acquisition matters, construction, insurance and reinsurance, and investments in Africa.
Romain served on the executive board of CFA 40 and chaired the committee’s working group on arbitration in insurance and reinsurance. He is also admitted to the Paris Bar as a specialist in arbitration law and has served as president of CASDA (College of Lawyers Specializing in Arbitration Law). He is a Chartered Arbitrator of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CArb and FCIArb) and co-author of the book “Rules and Practices of French Arbitration Law” (Lextenso). Romain is also a member of the New York Bar, holds a Master’s degree in international law from Georgetown University and a Master’s degree in international business law from his alma mater, the University of Aix-en-Provence. He is also a member of the Paris Bar Incubator and Paris Place de Droit.
